Saija Simola, a doctoral researcher from Aalto University in Finland, has been honoured as a Finnish laureate with the French Institute Nordic Award (FINA) 2024 for Digital Health.

Photo was taken by Minttu Vilenius with permission to use in blogposts.
This award, presented by the French Institutes of Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Norway, and Sweden, supports young researchers’ collaboration between Nordic countries and France.
As part of the award, Saija participated in a week-long scientific trip to Caen and Paris in September 2024. This journey provided valuable opportunities for her to see promising research and development initiatives and had a possibility to exchange ideas and potentially initiate collaborations with a variety of French stakeholders, including universities and research centres and hospitals.
